Key Grant Categories
The Asimov Foundation funds projects across various categories. Each application should clearly specify which category it falls under:
A. AI Software Development & Platforms
Grants for developers and teams working on innovative AI software, applications, or platforms—whether centralized or decentralized. This includes AI-driven apps, tools, APIs, or systems designed to enhance the functionality of the broader tech ecosystem, such as machine learning models, natural language processing systems, AI-powered automation tools, and more. Requirements:
Fully functional AI software or an early-stage prototype.
Clear technical roadmap with milestones.
Open-source preferred, but not required.
B. Decentralized AI Infrastructure
Grants for projects focused on building decentralized AI protocols, infrastructure, or systems that push forward new ways of interacting with the internet using AI technologies. This could involve decentralized AI model training, decentralized data marketplaces, AI-powered consensus mechanisms, or systems that enable privacy-preserving AI. Requirements:
Detailed technical design and architecture.
Proof of concept or an initial working prototype.
Open-source, where possible.
C. AI Educational Platforms & Tools
Grants for projects that create educational content, platforms, or tools designed to teach people about artificial intelligence, machine learning, coding, and related fields. These can include interactive learning platforms, AI-powered teaching assistants, or courses focused on AI concepts. Requirements:
Functional platform or educational resources with AI-related content.
Clear use cases and target audience description.
Engaging, user-friendly content.
D. Social Impact Through AI
Grants for AI projects that aim to address social issues, create societal impact, or provide valuable services to underserved communities using artificial intelligence. This might include AI-powered platforms for non-profits, healthcare, education, or community empowerment through automated systems or AI-driven insights. Requirements:
Clear articulation of the problem being solved.
Measurable social impact using AI.
Roadmap for AI-driven implementation and scaling.
E. Creative AI & Media Projects
Grants for projects that explore the intersection of AI with creativity, media, art, and entertainment. This can include AI-generated art, music, film, interactive media, AI-driven NFT platforms, or new forms of digital expression powered by artificial intelligence. Requirements:
Clear artistic vision and project goals involving AI.
Prototype or creative proof of concept.
Engagement with target creative communities, using AI as a central medium.
