Step 1: Submit Your Project Proposal
To begin the grant application process, applicants must fill out a detailed proposal form through the Asimov Foundation’s application portal. The application asks for information about the project, the team behind it, and other relevant details. This form is structured to capture the following:
Project details including its category, name, description, and goals.
Team information such as team members’ experience and relevant professional profiles.
Supporting documents like pitch decks, whitepapers, and any technical documentation.
Project timeline outlining the milestones, runway to launch, and future plans.
This form serves as the first step in gathering essential information for both the Asimov Foundation team and the community to assess the viability and potential impact of the project.
Step 2: Review and Approval Process
After submission, your application will undergo a review process by our Asimov Foundation AI Agent. This evaluates applications based on several criteria:
Alignment with Asimov’s mission and values
Innovation and impact of the project
Team’s experience and capacity to deliver
Clear and actionable project goals
If your project meets the foundation's criteria, it will be approved for inclusion in the community voting process. The Asimov team will notify you once your project has passed the review stage.
Step 3: Community Voting on Approved Projects
Once approved, your project will be listed on the Asimov Foundation’s Voting Dashboard, where the community of Asimov token holders can review and vote on the proposal. The dashboard serves as a transparent and accessible platform where approved proposals are displayed with key information:
Project Summary: A brief description of the project, highlighting its goals and impact.
Detailed Project Page: Clicking on the project name takes token holders to a detailed page that includes the full project description, supporting documents, GitHub repositories, and other relevant information.
Voting Option: Token holders can vote for or against the proposal by connecting their wallets to the dashboard. The voting power is determined by the number of Asimov tokens held by each participant, ensuring that the decision-making process remains decentralized.
This step allows the community to have a direct say in which projects receive funding, reinforcing the importance of collective governance.
Step 4: Funding Allocation and Grant Distribution
After the voting period concludes, the Asimov Foundation will process the results. If the project passes the community vote and meets the necessary threshold, it will be granted funding based on the agreed-upon grant tier and vesting schedule.
Vesting Schedule: Funding is released in installments over a specified period. This ensures that the funds are used effectively and in accordance with the project’s development milestones.
Project Monitoring: Grantees are expected to provide regular updates on progress, including financial reports, project developments, and any changes to the project scope.
Ongoing Engagement with the Community
Throughout the grant lifecycle, grantees are encouraged to stay engaged with the Asimov community. This includes:
Grantees are expected to provide monthly updates on their project’s progress and milestones.
The community can offer feedback, suggestions, and even contribute to the project, enhancing collaboration.
Grantees are encouraged to keep their work open-source and share their code, ensuring transparency and alignment with the broader ecosystem.
