Application Criteria

Applicants must meet the following criteria to be considered for a grant:

• Innovative Idea:

  • Offer a fresh approach or unique solution.

  • Can be software, educational tools, or addressing societal challenges.

  • Should stand out and have significant potential for impact.

• Feasibility:

  • Project must be technically feasible within available resources and timeframe.

  • Provide working prototypes, initial designs, or demos to show viability if applicable.

• Independent Vision:

  • Freedom to pursue any idea you find valuable.

  • Asimov grants support independent projects, with no obligation to contribute back to the ecosystem.

  • Preference for projects using open standards and open-source development.

• Clear Milestones:

  • Include a timeline with well-defined project milestones.

  • Provide key deliverables and a roadmap for the next 6-12 months.

• Team & Expertise:

  • Demonstrate necessary skills and experience to execute the project.

  • If applying individually, highlight relevant expertise and past work.

• Financial Plan:

  • Provide a detailed breakdown of grant fund usage.

  • Include team salaries (if applicable), project development, marketing, and necessary tools/services.
