Applicants must meet the following criteria to be considered for a grant:
Innovative Idea:
Offer a fresh approach or unique solution.
Can be software, educational tools, or addressing societal challenges.
Should stand out and have significant potential for impact.
Feasibility:
Project must be technically feasible within available resources and timeframe.
Provide working prototypes, initial designs, or demos to show viability if applicable.
Independent Vision:
Freedom to pursue any idea you find valuable.
Asimov grants support independent projects, with no obligation to contribute back to the ecosystem.
Preference for projects using open standards and open-source development.
Clear Milestones:
Include a timeline with well-defined project milestones.
Provide key deliverables and a roadmap for the next 6-12 months.
Team & Expertise:
Demonstrate necessary skills and experience to execute the project.
If applying individually, highlight relevant expertise and past work.
Financial Plan:
Provide a detailed breakdown of grant fund usage.
Include team salaries (if applicable), project development, marketing, and necessary tools/services.
